Winnipeg’s Supergroup, Jackpine is the collaboration of Winnipeggers Adrien Sala, Jaxon Haldane (D.Rangers), Sean Buchanan (Western States) and Jesse Riemer. With the input and experience of three veteran songwriters, the Jackpine band offers up an eclectic, yet very focused take on traditional roots music. The term Americana can be quite misleading as many canadians have greatly impacted the history of popular music in North America over the past century. Drawing from their experience as Canadians and pulling inspiration from the likes of Neil Young, Hank Snow, The Band, Fred Eaglesmith as well as a plethora of American influences, Jackpine is creating a refreshingly honest approach to roots music.
